This model is a multiple conveyor dryer design and incorporates multiple fans, multiple burners, and two or more conveyors. The dehydrator model incorporates all of the necessary features for drying of a wide variety of food products.

Features include: stainless construction, VFD on all fans, exhaust fans, rotary airlocks at product discharge, multiple air temperature probes, rotary stirrers (if needed), inlet belt wiper spreader, separate product cooler, heavy gauge metal construction, 2" insulation, auto fines clean out of lower air plenum, natural or vapor LP gas burners and controls, 2" to 12" product depth, air intake and outlet ducts with rain caps and hoods, pre-wired electric control panel, conveyor belt cleaning features, and multiple access doors. All units sold with on-site installation and start-up consultation.

Normal air direction is up, but can be down if required. The airflow contacts the product multiple-times depending on the number of conveyors. This improves efficiency while allowing the product to mix at each conveyor discharge improving moisture consistency.

Product is loaded at the beginning of the top conveyor and discharged at the opposite end, or middle depending on layout. Air velocity, product depth, product resident time, and air temperature can all be controlled separately in each stage to a wide range of adjustments. Normal operating temperatures are from 10°F heat rise to 240°F. Special applications can be constructed for up to 400°F. Air velocity through the bed can be set from 25 fpm to 200 fpm. Normal operating range is 100 to 150 fpm.

These models are sold as all heat with separate cooler. Standard widths are 2', 6', and 8' and standard lengths are in increments of 12". Custom widths and lengths are available.

These models are usually selected for drying of food products. They are single-stage units set in series to allow for multiple airflow and temperature control. Generally, these models will provide the best efficiency and product quality. Air direction can alternate and recycle for improved drying efficiency.
